Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Salah app. By downloading, installing, or using Salah, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. About Salah

Salah is a Muslim prayer companion application designed to help users maintain their five daily prayers through prayer time reminders, app focus features, a gamified tracker, daily guidance, and Islamic educational content. The app is developed and operated as a personal software product.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Salah. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should review these terms with a parent or guardian.

Salah is offered on a subscription basis:

Subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not have direct access to your payment information. Refund requests must be submitted through the relevant app store.

Prayer times are calculated using the Aladhan API based on your location and chosen calculation method. While we aim for accuracy, prayer times are provided as a guide only. We are not responsible for inaccuracies resulting from incorrect location data, calculation method selection, or third-party API issues.

Hadith, Quran verses, and other religious content are sourced from publicly available APIs and curated collections. We endeavour to present authentic content but make no scholarly guarantee of completeness or contextual interpretation. Users should consult qualified Islamic scholars for religious guidance.

Salah's app focus feature works by displaying a full-screen overlay at prayer times. On supported iOS devices, the app may utilise Apple's Screen Time framework to restrict access to other applications during prayer windows, subject to device permissions granted by the user. This feature:

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Salah is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the app is entirely at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Salah, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or disruption of service.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Salah after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
